Jim Farrell - President and Owner
Jim is a 1970 graduate of Jacksonville State University. A former sports writer, he was hired as Office Manager at Donoho Clay Company in 1971. He became Managing Partner of Donoho Clay in 1980. In 1982, Donoho Clay moved into a 30-acre, 200,000 sq. ft. facility and expanded its product line to include specialty refractory products. In 1984, Donoho Clay sold its specialty refractory product line to CE Refractories, a division of Combustion Engineering, and entered into an exclusive agreement with CE to make product on private label. CE Refractories later sold to Premier Refractories, who in 1999 sold to Vesuvius. The original manufacturing agreement lasted for 15 years until Southeast Refractories was sold to Pyror-Giggy Refractories in 1999, a division of P-G Industries. Upon completion of the sale of SER to P-G, Blastcrete Equipment Company, Inc. became a stand alone corporation.
He now serves as the President and C.E.O. of Blastcrete, as well as Landfill Clays, Inc., which provides private industrial landfill contracting services, and Met-Rock LLC, the licensor of the patented Met-Rock Structural Concrete Insulated Panel System used for residential and commercial construction.
He is a member of the Jacksonville State University Foundation Board of Directors, The American Foundryman's Society, The Iron and Steel Society, American Ceramic's Society, American Shotcrete Association, International Concrete Repair Institute, Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and the Business Council of Alabama.

Tripp Farrell - Sales Manager
Tripp graduated from the University of Alabama in 1999. He joined Blastcrete as Sales Manager in 2000. In addition to his responsibilities in sales, he works in product design, and directly with customers in doing product demos and product training. He is also involved in advertising and marketing of the Blastcrete product line, as well as research and development and most importantly, customer service. He is a member of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce.
Tom Doss - Procurement Manager
Tom is a 1986 graduate of Jacksonville State University and joined the Blastcrete team in 1988. In addition to his responsibility as procurement manager, he manages parts sales, inventories, customer service as well as other duties related to the design and manufacture of the product line. Early on, Tom assisted in the re-design of The Blastcrete Hydrostatic Rotary Gun, which today remains the most popular refractory placement machine on the market.
Craig Maddox - Vice President of Manufacturing
Craig has been VP of Manufacturing since 1996. With over 30 years experience in equipment design and manufacturing, he has been instrumental in the design of Blastcrete swing tube pumps, turbine mixers, swing-tube mixer/pumps, hydraulic peristaltic pump, hydraulic spiral mixers, customer training and customer service.
Harvey Fan - Asian Pacific Technical Manager
Harvey graduated from the
Darleen Perkins - Office Manager
Darleen is a 1980 graduate of Jacksonville State University. She was originally hired as traffic manager for Donoho Clay Company in 1987, and later SouthEast Refractories. As Blastcrete's business grew, she became more involved with Blastcrete related business functions. She was promoted to Office Manager in 2002. Her responsibilities include payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, logistics and customer service.
